Butterflies, skateboards and guess who?

We have butterflies here by the thousands, they are getting to the end of their life span and so they are slower and easier to catch. Gwen is very gentle with them, she will keep one as a pet everyday and then let it go.
Jay's friend loaned him his swivel board and he loves it! I'm amazed that anyone can stay up on one of these. He is saving his money in hopes of getting on over the summer.
I came across this picture and every time I see it I crack up out loud. Can you name those in the photo above?

goin' fishin'

We had an extra day off this week for national "Women's Day". So we took the boat out and did some fishing. It was a beautiful day and we had some luck catching some fish.
Our helpers did all the dirty work like getting our hooks ready and then spearing them as we reeled them in.
We caught 6 fish one was to small and we put him back in the ocean and off course the biggest one got away. So we ended up with 4 big sized fish. They call them darado's here I'm not sure what they are.
Jay, John and the helpers did all the yucky work of filleting them. We gave 2 fish to the helpers and we had a very tasty dinner! And have more in the freezer for later.

Mosquito Nets and American Idol

Exxon is really good about helping out Luanda. They have had all kinds of ways of serving in the community from painting orphanages, beach clean-ups and handing out mosquito nets. This time we handed out school supplies,
and mosquito nets. That's what is in the blue bundles the ladies are carrying. We also handed out pamphlets on how to prevent malaria. Someone from American Idol came which of course none in our family knew the guy, apparently, American Idol do a huge fund raiser in New York and donate the proceeds to malaria projects.
After the kids finished all their work the rounded up some kids to play a bit of football.
I know you can't tell by the picture but it was really warm that day! We were happy to have some cloud cover.
