Yes, it's true Maren now is in a band. She was very surprised and excited to have been asked.

She did make it very clear that she would have no part in it if the music was crude, the band was very supportive and have a new gained respect for her.

They practice during a few lunch hours. I'm sure the teachers closed their doors!

Birthday Month

We have 3 birthdays in our family in January. Sadly this was my first time in Will's life not to celebrate his birthday with him. We all miss him. Aunt Linda gave him a wonderful birthday bash with lots of cousins there for support. Aunt Susie made sure he got his favorite Chinese food too. Thank you my dear family!!!

15!! I can't believe she is 15! She couldn't be more delightful. We all love her constant singing and her contagious giggle. She has a great attitude about life and is genuinely happy.

We love this family! It was Yuki's 15th birthday a few days ago. They are such a strong family with so much faith. They live in a different province far from Luanda but they come here for their "summer" vacation.

All the girls sang songs and then we told the boys it was their turn Nefi was a bit shy, but as you can see Jay had no problem hamming it up.

A little bit of Texas

We had a wonderful stay in Texas to start of our Christmas holiday. The girls helped Grandy finish up one puzzle after another.

We all tried to catch a fish and again Gwen was the only one that did!

Granddad and Hobo are a great team.

Jay gave it his best effort but the fish just weren't biting. The weather was gorgeous but as soon as we left it got real cold and even snowed!
