She had some beautiful moves. They played teams from Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Germany, England had 4 schools in the tournament.
She was the second tallest on the team but the short ones could jump!

Ice Cave part 2

Inside the ice cave of course it was freezing and very dark. We had coats and of course we were warm from the hike up and the steps inside I think he said there were over 1,000 steps in the cave. The picture above was the "polar bear" all made by nature.

The scariest thing for me was the laterns, I was so afraid of catching someone on fire. If you want to know more about this ask John. But it was the highlight for all of us including Will!

Ice Caves

We heard about the Ice Cave and thought it would be so cool to see it. Not realizing what a steep journey it would be. Happily we all made it to the cave, the tram took us up the steepest bit. The ride was about 3 minutes but it seemed longer to me!

Sweet "16"!

What a bummer to have a birthday while on holiday!

We enjoyed church in Munich. An Elder translated for us and wouldn't you know he was from Santa Clara. Spears was the name and yes he knows Ashley!

Munich Germany

We rented bikes and rode them around in this massive park. We really enjoyed ourselves, fall is such a beautiful time of year.
I had to put this picture in because of the sweatshirt. In Salzburg some Sister missionaries were riding by on their bikes and came to a screeching halt. And also in Munich we were buying some ice cream and so were some missionaries on their Pday who spoted the shirt and said Hey!
One of the things I love about Europe is that people ride bikes everywhere. The Netherlands win for the most, Copenhagen and Helsinke also are very bike user friendly. And of course Munich. It did freak Will out a bit at first but after a few melt downs and lots of encouragement he did well and said he did enjoy it more than he thought he would. The little lake behind him here also rented canoes and paddle boats which we did also.

Salzburg, Austria

Yes, this is the place where the Sound of Music was filmed. It was a lovely small city. The fortress on the hill was very fun. We walked to the base then took a tram up to the top. It was a hazey day but the view was gorgeous.
Maren and Jana enjoying the fountain.

We took a horse drawn carriage around the old town. The drivers spoke pretty broken english but did a good job taking us around.

Denmark

This is us at the temple in Denmark. It's very small but beautiful.

Mom and Dad resting in the shade of the temple.

This is the Friedricksborg Castle that has the orginal painting in it of Carl Bloch. The church uses a lot of his work. It was neat to see the paintings up close.
